The national acclaimed director of Kannada cinema S V Rajendra Singh Babu heads the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy for a period of 18 months.The government order approved by governor of Karnataka dated 24th November 2014 was released to the media.

SV Rajendra Singh Babu has directed some of the lovely films in Kannada such as Nagarahole, Antha, Bandhana, Muttina Haara, Kurigalu Sir Kurigalu, Kaththegalu sir Kaththegalu, Kothigalu Sar Kothigalu, Hoovu Hannu, Kiladi Jodi, Ganda Berunda, Kaalinga Sarpa, Barjari Bete, Bannada Gejje etc.

SV Rajendra Singh Babu son of Shanker Singh and Protima Devi is a graduate. Singh Babu family banner has produced more than 95 films so far.

Singh Babu also hails from the place of Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah – Mysore. It is SV Rajendra Singh Babu identified 252 locations in and around Mysore for the natural film city possibilities.
